In Angola IN, Where Does Cancer Come From?

The sad truth is that almost everyone knows someone who has been diagnosed with cancer. The frequency and familiarity of cancer's long reach is not something that humans have lived with for a long time, however. In the late 1940's and the early 1950's, breast cancer was almost unheard of-affecting only about 68 people out of every 100,000. Currently in 2015, some studies we've seen at our clinic in Angola IN suggest that cancer will affect one out of every three women and one out of two men.
According to the National Cancer Institute, cancer is the second leading cause of death in America-costing about $5 billion a year on research and treatment developments. The CDC tells us that about 585,000 people die every year from cancer; however, only 5-10% of those deaths are attributed to genetic defects. Simple math tells us that less than 60,000 people will suffer from DNA/genetic defects. What about the other 525,000 cancer victims? How do they develop cancer?
Environmental Toxins & Cancer
The truth is cancer, like most diseases, are multi-factorial events-not typically caused by one thing. Two of the biggest contributing factors are nutritional deficiency and over-exposure to environmental toxins. We'll address the nutritional deficiency later, but for now we will focus on toxic overload.
Laboratories studies performed by Environmental Working Group (EWG) concluded 9 out of 10 random samples of umbilical cord blood contained BPA's. BPA stands for bisphenol A. BPA's are industrial petrochemical used in making plastics which mimic synthetic estrogen and have been linked to cancer, cognitive & behavioral impairment, hormonal problems, reproductive and cardiovascular abnormalities, diabetes, asthma, and obesity. The overall toxic overload exposed by EWG's lab test indicates an average of 287 toxins found in blood samples of newborns-including things like mercury, fire retardants, pesticides, and Teflon chemical.
Putting ourselves in a position to be over-exposed to environmental toxins sets us on a path for sickness and disease. One scary thought is that we could be letting our kids soak and slather in a wide verity of product containing an array of toxic chemical. We recommend checking your beauty products for any of the chemicals we listed below. If you see a chemical that is not on the list, but you don't know what it is, look it up. Unfortunately, there are thousands of chemical allowed into our daily products and foods that we don't completely understand the affect they have on humans.

  • Quaternium-15 PEG-100 stearate
  • Sodium laureth sulfate DMDM hydantoin
  • Sodium myreth sulfate Imidazolidinyl urea
  • Polyethylene Ceteareth-20
  • Diazolidinyl urea Propylene Glycol
  • Parabens Diethanolamine or DEA
  • 1,4-dioxane

Being label conscious is a great starting block. Also, look for certified organic natural products. A good rule of thumb is that if you can't pronounce an ingredient, look it up or don't buy it. Give us a call to learn how we may be able to help you distress your body by removing unwanted chemicals that are getting and keeping you sick.
